A pool dining table has got to be one of the best realized dreams of so many men in the world today. It is true for so many guys I know that the only piece of furniture they have ever been interested in shopping for has been a pool table or perhaps table tennis table. When the time comes for so many of us to go out and look for something elegant for the dining room to be used for special occasions with our families and friends, a great too many of us simply are not interested. The idea of a pool dining table is a foolproof way of getting even the most un-opinionated person involved in the decorating process.
Finding the perfect pieces of furniture for the dining room has never been a big concern of mine either. I know many people, even some guys, who nitpick over every last detail of what piece of furniture goes where to best suit each rooms ideal look. For me and many of my friends, though a couch is a place to sit and a table is a place to eat. Upon discovering the possibility of a pool dining table everyone I knew got excited. Finally the table was something more than just a dinnertime tool. Finally it was more than just something pretty for guests to look at. It was something that could be used, and to good effect, when the evening wasn’t meant for a fancy sit down supper. Believe it or not, a pool dining table is rarely an ugly or understated piece of furniture. If you think about it you will realize that pool tables have always carried an air of elegance and even the most artistically void models are still pleasing to the eye. Really then, the only thing separating a high end pool table from a classy dining room table has always been the felt. These days the nice people that bring us billiards also offer us a way of covering the felt. Much like conversion pool tables once came with an extra top for table tennis, they are now offered with an extra top for dining. At a glance no one would ever tell the difference. Even without a tablecloth most people would probably never know that they are eating on what moonlights as a pool table. When you get a chance to look at one yourself you will notice that a pool dining table can actually look classier than a lot of other similarly priced dining room tables. Now that we are all excited at the prospect of helping decorate our dining room with a pool dining table, there are a few kinks to work out. While it makes for a great “I don’t want a games room” compromise, it can be unpractical to use. You have to be careful not to let too many—if any—expensive or fragile furnishings in the room around it. This isn’t always easy and may result in a bit of a power fight. Once you have the pool dining table everyone will surely love it. The only real question will become do you set the table before the guests arrive or give them a chance to play a game or two first. Take a look; maybe a pool dining table will be good for you.
