Folding Dining Chairs: Making the Very Best Use of the Space Available

If there is one thing that you will find everyone would love, it is a larger dining table. Most of the time, our dining table is far larger then we use or need and it just excess space being wasted. However, on those few occasions during the year when we really need it, our dining tables tend to let us down. We’ve all had our extended family over for Christmas or Thanks Giving dinner and simply run out of space at the table. While there are a number of ways of dealing with this problem, usually be putting all the kids at the coffee table, there are a couple of things you can do and folding dining chairs can be very useful when you are doing them.

If there is one secret to hosting large meals, it is this: that the number of people you can fit around your dining table rarely depends on the size of the table, and usually depends on the number of chairs that you have available. If you think about it, your standard dining table comes with six dining chairs. While this certainly does represent the optimal number of people to eat at the table, it would be quite possible to fit another two to four people around the table if you only had the chairs. This is when folding dining chairs can really become useful. All you have to do is buy a couple of folding dining chairs and leave them safely stored in a closet or basement out of the way. Then when you need them, you can run and get them and just like that, your six person dining table now hosts ten people, simply because of the folding dining chairs.

Another reason you may want to invest in some folding dining chairs is that you may have a huge dining table fit for a banquet, but having all of those chairs around the table constantly just cramps the room and makes it feel cluttered. Or maybe your table is extendable, so that you can keep it at a reasonably small size when you want, but can then extend the entire table when there is a need to do so. Well what would you do with your extra dining chairs when the table is not extended? Well with folding dining chairs the answer is simple, throw them in the closet.

The benefit of folding dining chairs is that they give you some flexibility to control the capacity of your dining table depending on the needs that arise. They are perfect when you also have a dining table that can be expanded when you need.
